Adam Oar: Our family business does concrete resurfacing. We resurface people's pool decks, driveways, patios and commercial jobs as well. Pretty much just making concrete look good with different designs.
James Dooley: So on the swimming pool surrounds and stuff like that where you're doing stamped concrete and different concrete resurfacing surfaces. We’ve been supplying you with leads and there are questions that always pop up for people who are new to lead generation. A lot of people do SEO and you have to pay for SEO whether you rank or not. With PPC you’re paying per click and you’re paying an agency to run the account. Then some lead gen companies charge per lead whether it converts or not. With yourself and FatRank we do a no win no fee setup. As long as the company qualifies we provide the leads and you only pay on a conversion. Can you expand on that so people understand there’s actually no risk. Do you pay anything upfront for SEO or PPC or is it literally once you get the job and convert it you pay a finder’s fee out of the profits.
Adam Oar: Right. There's no fee. If you guys send us the leads and we close a job then we pay you a kickback for that job. It’s great because there’s no risk. We’ve paid other agencies in the past for Facebook ads and other paid stuff where you’re paying a management fee plus the ad spend. We like the way we have it set up with you a lot better. The other way didn’t work out well for us. Facebook leads felt lower quality for what we were doing. The Google search leads are a lot higher quality from our testing. PPC leads can add up fast. You can spend a lot of money very easily.
James Dooley: And not only that. If people don’t know what they’re doing with PPC there’s click fraud and if you don’t have negative keywords like “jobs” or “careers” you can get people looking to apply for work instead of actual leads for concrete resurfacing. That obviously affects profits.

Aside from that I can’t see a better fit. There’s no risk on the front end. We know the referral fee. Our sales team bids the jobs with your margin built in so it works smoothly. We’re not losing money hoping for ROI. We only pay when we close the deals.
James Dooley: And what Adam’s saying there is that word of mouth is great but there’s only so much of it. You still need diversification. Maybe do SEO for your own site to generate your own leads. That’s the Holy Grail. Maybe still use PPC. Maybe team up with one or two lead gen companies. With FatRank, if you qualify, the system works. When I say qualify I mean you’ve got a professional email and a sales team that replies quickly. If you were a roofer and I sent you a lead on Tuesday and you didn’t reply until the weekend it would kill conversions.
