What Does “Searcharoo AI Citation and Mention Building: How Brands Win LLM Visibility in 2026” Talk About?
This episode of the Fatrank Podcast features James Dooley in conversation with KL, founder of Searcharoo, diving deep into how brands and businesses can improve their visibility across large language models like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok in 2026. The discussion centers on Searcharoo's proprietary AI Reputation Tree, a four-pillar framework designed to define a brand's entity, its service offerings, its reputation signals, and competitive positioning through structured content and strategic mention-building across the web.
The conversation covers the technical building blocks that make AI citation campaigns effective, including micro semantics and semantic triples, URL indexing using tools like Indexional, tier-two backlink strategies for ranking corroborative sources higher in search results, and the importance of traffic viability through social media and paid channels. James and KL explain that LLMs rely on consensus across multiple documents to confidently recommend a brand, meaning a single listicle or guest post is fundamentally insufficient. They stress that most businesses have historically built backlinks incorrectly from an LLM optimization standpoint, and that a structured, multi-pillar approach is required to actually move the needle on AI recommendations and citations.
“When it comes to LLM optimization, you I can almost guarantee you've built them wrong. And that is kind of where we focus our attention and try to excel because it's only going to gain more market share as you know as it becomes quicker as it becomes more accurate more intelligent it's only going to you know eventually Google will become just a generative answer engine so it will create the answer for you.”

Who Are the Guests on “Searcharoo AI Citation and Mention Building: How Brands Win LLM Visibility in 2026”?
James Dooley is a well-known figure in the SEO and digital marketing space, recognized for his expertise in lead generation, affiliate marketing, and search strategy. He is associated with Searcharoo and PromoSEO, and has extensive hands-on experience running AI visibility campaigns across industries including gaming, casino, sports betting, e-commerce, and trades. In this episode, James drives the conversation with rapid-fire questions designed to draw out the technical and strategic depth behind Searcharoo's approach to LLM optimization.
KL is the founder of Searcharoo and the architect behind the AI Reputation Tree system. KL brings a highly technical and process-driven perspective to LLM visibility, having built the proprietary algorithm and four-pillar framework that underpins Searcharoo's citation and mention-building service. KL speaks candidly about what makes brands a good or poor fit for the service, the importance of consensus-building across third-party corroborative sources, and the pitfalls brands face when they approach AI visibility with a single-link mindset.
What Are the Key Takeaways From “Searcharoo AI Citation and Mention Building: How Brands Win LLM Visibility in 2026”?
Here are the key points discussed in this episode:
- Building LLM visibility requires a four-pillar approach that defines your entity, service offerings, reputation signals, and competitive positioning rather than relying on a single piece of content.
- Micro semantics and semantic triples are among the most critical elements when writing articles on third-party corroborative sources, as they help LLMs accurately attribute services and credentials to a brand.
- Indexing is fundamental to any AI citation strategy because if a page is blocked or unindexed, LLMs cannot read or cite it, making tools like Indexional an essential part of the process.
- Consensus across multiple documents is what drives LLM recommendations, meaning one listicle or guest post will never be enough to reduce ambiguity and earn consistent brand mentions in AI outputs.
- Traffic viability from social media, paid ads, and other channels boosts the authority of key corroborative pages, reinforcing their value to both Google and the AI models that draw on indexed content.
“It's all about removing the ambiguity. Um, and you know, one listical isn't going to do that. Chances are, if you look at your backlink profile, if you've been doing backlinks for a while, you've probably built a bunch. And chances are you've built them wrong.”

What Are Listeners Saying About This Episode?
“The breakdown of why micro semantics matter so much when writing third-party corroborative content was genuinely eye-opening. I had been thinking about guest posts purely in terms of links, and this episode completely reframed that for me. The point about semantic triples and how LLMs attribute services to entities is something I am immediately applying to client campaigns.”
“KL's comment that most businesses have built their backlinks wrong from an LLM optimization standpoint is the kind of honest take you rarely get in marketing podcasts. The explanation of consensus scores and why one listicle will never move the needle in ChatGPT or Claude was clear and backed up with real reasoning. Really appreciated the no-nonsense format.”
“I work in lead generation and this episode gave me a much clearer picture of what it actually takes to get a brand recommended by AI tools in 2026. The discussion about indexing, Cloudflare blocking LLMs, and using traffic viability to boost key pages covered details I have not heard explained this clearly anywhere else. Already looking into the AI Reputation Tree.”

This video explains which digital marketing strategies brands and businesses seeking LLM visibility should focus on in 2026 to improve AI citations, stronger brand recommendations across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, and higher trust with search engines. James Dooley and KL start with KPI tracking because measuring consensus and confidence scores shows whether entity, service and reputation signals are actually improving visibility for this niche. They cover brand SEO, AI visibility and Google Business Profiles because stronger search presence improves trust and conversion rates.
The discussion also explores organic SEO, organic social media and paid social ads because consistent visibility across search and social supports long term growth. PPC is analysed in detail because campaign setup, landing pages and lead handling directly affect results. They also discuss Reddit, Quora and paid AI ads because diversified enquiry sources and early adoption can strengthen digital marketing performance for brands and businesses seeking LLM visibility.

Searcharoo AI Citation and Mention Building: How Brands Win LLM Visibility in 2026 is available on:
James Dooley: Why searcheroo has the best AI citation and brand mentioning for LLM visibility. So KL the founder of searcheroo why is the AI reputation tree great for getting recommending in chat GPT cla or in Gemini?
KL: So for people who don't know it's a a system we've now built which is defining well it's got four different pillars to it you know it defines the the entity so who you are it defines what you do the service offering why you're freaking brilliant at it and then it also goes into like a competitive analysis and competitive um querying. So we use we use our algorithm that we've built to define what you need as a brand or business to actually get more exposure in the LLMs. So it could be you know you could be great at defining who you are but you might not be so good at defining the various different services that you offer. So it might know that you know you are a business but it's not too sure on what does your business actually do. So we will then go out there and build um various different doesn't necessarily have to be guest post but you know old school mentality of guest post has kind of changed with LLMs you don't always need links but we build like mentions and things around the brand which is attributing that service to you as a as a business.
James Dooley: Yeah. So obviously the title of the podcast is why is searchoo the best for getting recommended for brands and businesses in chatbt in claude in perplexity in gro in Gemini and all these different LLMs. Why is it the best? So what I want to do is I want to ask you a few quick fire questions right not once again. So micro semantics, how important is it if someone tries to do the AI reputation tree and they go, okay, I think I know what I need to do. How important is micro semantics when you're writing these articles on third party corrovisative sources?
KL: I would probably say that is one of the most important parts.
James Dooley: Then. So you've gone and wrote a great article. You've done the semantic triples. You've defined the entity. You've said the all the services that you provide. You're shouting and screaming about the awards that they've won. You're shouting and screaming about the testimonials and you're doing it in a very specific way using semantic triples getting the micro semantics. Absolutely brilliant, but it's not indexed. How important is indexing these URLs on guest posts and on press releases and using a tool like Indexional to get those URLs to be indexed?
KL: So index is a brilliant tool to be fair and it's one of our partners when it comes to us doing our sort of AI reputation map and I would say it's again what a fundamental part of the whole process is you know if it's not being picked up it can't be seen um now you you know when it comes to like SEO and backlink building you want the links to be picked up because that's then what the LM reads if that site is it might even be blocked um LLMs because you know Cloudflare do does have that have that option where you can block LLMs from reading content and things. So obviously we would be doing checks on that to make sure they aren't blocking um LLMs and stuff like this. So we definitely know it's going to feed the bot um or the various different bots for the different platforms. But yeah like getting links indexed is like almost fundamental. You know social mentions you can get them indexed. It all just adds to that consensus score and confidence score.
James Dooley: Yeah. So with regards to people wanting AI mentions, they wanting to get recommended more. They wanted to get these AI citations in chat GPT and claude and perplexity and gro and all the different LLMs. Let's say you've gone now and you've wrote the guest post and you've done the semantic triples and you've loaded it into index optional and it's indexed it within minutes and now it's indexed within Google but it's on page seven of Google because they're saying we've got it's a competitive kind of term that you're trying to go after. It's on page seven. A lot of people say that it's only the top 50 results. So it's only the first five pages is what's being picked up. So it's not being picked up. How important then when it's indexed, if it's not in the top 50, is it to be doing tier 2 backlinks to power up that page to try to get it within the bucket that it can be being seen by the LLMs?
KL: Again, you know, it's quite important. It's I would say that's not as important as the micro semantics and things because as long as there's more documents out there that is going to wrote in the correct way, it's going to improve you more regardless if you know that it's sat quite far down in the SER. Um, but the higher up you can get it, the the more chances it has of actually getting traffic direct, which is almost the best type of link that you can possibly get. and also the higher chance you have of it being cited in within the AI. So of course it's a it is a good thing but again I would say I would have that almost as a you know a medium level like importance important yes but get the fundamentals done first.
James Dooley: Yeah. And then the last one is viability. So there's certain viability whether it's CTR or whether it's social media traffic from different sources. So whether it's like traffic from Reddit or from Twitter or from Instagram or from Facebook or from LinkedIn, there's all the different platforms and when it starts getting lots of traffic through to a page, it can improve rankings. How important for certain important articles that's defining the entity, defining why, what the services that you offer, defining why you are brilliant, maybe a comparative article against competition, saying why you're better than competition. How important for some of these articles is the viability element to make certain of why searcheru offers the best AI citation building service there is on the marketplace.
KL: Again, that's another fundamental part. Like at the end of the day, if Ellen if people aren't visiting the page, then where's the value? And it's the same with Google. You know, it often demotes pages that perform on like don't perform. It's the exact same thing that do if people aren't visiting this page that's been created for all of this information, what's the point of it citing it? And that's where the social media side or you know if you're doing paid ads and things like this that that can really help bo uh bolster the the results. Um and that's what yeah that's part of the fundamental.
James Dooley: And then I've got the last question right. So we're going through saying why searcher has got the best AI citation and brand building service there is for getting better LLM visibility. But if someone comes through and fills in the form and says, "Kl, I want you to create me an article, one article on a listical in comparison to competitors." Now, I know straight away you're going to say, "Well, no, you can't have one article because it's just a single source on the internet, which is just an assumption. You need to build consensus." How important for anyone listening to this is the AI reputation tree of what we've gone and we've built out and our proprietary software of what we have that goes through the four pillars the defining the entity going through all the attributes and services that they do making certain this they hit home on the reputation the case studies the testimonials the reviews the awards and doing the comparison articles doing all four of them pillars and building the consensus just explain how one listical will not move the needle and how that consensus is needed to get recommended by chat GBT Claude and Gemini.
KL: So, we were chatting on this earlier. It's all about, you know, removing that dis am ambigu sorry. It's all about removing the ambiguity. Um, and you know, one listical isn't going to do that. Chances are, if you look at your backlink profile, if you've been doing backlinks for a while, you've probably built a bunch. And chances are you've built them wrong. And that's probably quite a bold statement, but you have. When it comes to LLM optimization, you I can almost guarantee you've built them wrong. And that is kind of where we focus our attention and try to excel because it's only going to gain more market share as you know as it becomes quicker as it becomes more accurate more intelligent it's only going to you know eventually Google will become just a generative answer engine so it will create the answer for you.
James Dooley: So, if someone's watching this and or listening to this and they say, "Okay, I'm I'm interested. I'm I want to I want to buy the best AI citation service that there is on the marketplace. I want to come to searcheroo and I want to order it. How can someone reach out?" Because obviously we're doing it for our gaming brands, we're doing it for casino brands, we're doing it for sports betting brands, we're doing it for lead generation companies, trades people, e-commerce, affiliate. It doesn't really matter on the kind of industry. We're doing it for a lot of different companies and a lot of different brands. However, we don't accept everybody. So, if someone says, "I'm interested. I want to be recommended more by the AI. I want to be recommended more by Chat GBC. I want to be recommended more by Google AI overviews and Gemini." How can someone reach out to this AI reputation tree?
KL: So just before I say where you reach out, I would also say that what we've mentioned before, you know, if you're coming to us and you're looking for one link or one listable, you were not a good fit. The idea is we, you know, where our package that we've put together for the the AI tree, the reputation tree is designed to actually get results. And if you're not willing to work with us in our exact process, then I'm sorry, you're not really an ideal customer. So yeah, I would definitely come. You have to come with the you know some months are there's going to be a ton done on this element of the branch there's going to be a ton next month done on this element and you know over time the ro start to you gain a bigger picture. Um if you do want to get in touch it's search.com and just fill in the contact form. We will nine times out of 10 come back to you with a big list of questions that we will need an answer to. Um and then from there we will decide oh can we help you or not? Um if we can't help you, we'll give you plenty of advice on what you should be doing. Um you're just not in the right position yet. Um but yeah, just search.com and contact form.
James Dooley: I think that's the big part. You might not be in the position yet. And I think the anyone who's watching this, the big list of questions is related to the entity. Making certain we know who you are, making certain that we know the founding date, the founder, everything that we can hit home on third party croissive sources, what you do, all the services that you provide. There's no one better to to give us that list than yourself. You you know the brand better than we know the brand. any reviews and testimonials that you love, any case studies that you've done work for, any awards that you might have won. And if you don't have any of these yet, we might say, look, go away and try and get yourself some awards because what we can then do is amplify it everywhere. And we understand with the micro semantics and the virality and everything else that comes with it, we understand exactly what is needed to get recommended more by the LLMs. I think it's key. So, make sure you do what Carl said. Reach out to searchery.com, fill in the contact form. We'll ask loads of questions. Hopefully, you fit. And if you do, you can then go and order the AI reputation tree and start getting recommended more within the LLMs. Kyle, it's been an absolute pleasure. Chess man.
