Dan Grant: How’re you guys? It’s Dan here. Today I’m gonna be breaking down our blog post “Why Become an SEO”, which goes through all the main points about why it’s great to become an SEO and why it could be a great industry for you to look at. Job satisfaction is one of the strongest reasons to become an SEO. If you're good at your job, you’re improving people’s websites and helping them generate more profit and revenue. It's amazing to see clients improve and succeed—and the feedback from them is fantastic. Every month the work you carry out is genuinely valued, which makes the job extremely satisfying. SEO isn’t location-dependent. You can work from anywhere—on holiday, at a friend’s house, wherever. If you run your own SEO business, you have full freedom to travel. Unlike office-based jobs, there’s no requirement to stay in one place. It’s a massively growing industry. The number of websites going live every day is ridiculous. More businesses are moving online and realising how profitable it can be, and the first thing they discover is the need to rank on Google. This means SEO is becoming more in demand every single day. Your profits can be unlimited, depending on how many clients you take on and how you scale your operation. As you grow, you can hire people underneath you to handle tasks, and the amount you earn can scale as far as you want it to. If you want to hit a certain revenue target and hold it there, you can do that too—it’s completely down to your preferences. SEO work allows for extremely flexible hours. It doesn’t matter whether you work during the day or during the night—rankings are what matter. You could wake up late and work evenings, or wake up early and finish early. Unlike most industries, you choose your own schedule. SEO is one of the most searched-for and in-demand skills, but not many people are properly trained in it. Anyone can become an accountant or receptionist—there are loads of those. But very few people have real SEO expertise. If you master SEO, you become a valuable asset in a niche industry. You don’t have to meet clients in person. Everything can be handled online—reports, calls, updates. If you don’t like travelling or sitting through meetings, SEO is ideal. You can structure client relationships to fit your working style. With 118 new websites going live every minute—over 7,000 per hour—you never run out of potential clients. New businesses appear constantly across every niche, and most of them will need SEO at some point. SEO revenue can become completely passive once you scale. If you have a team working beneath you, your job becomes overseeing operations and reviewing reports. When done right, your income continues while you focus on managing the system. The SEO community is one of the best parts of the industry. There are Facebook groups, forums, blogs, masterminds—people constantly sharing ideas, tips, and advice. It connects directly with networking, which I’ve talked about before. It’s a friendly, supportive community that helps everyone grow. That’s basically it. I’d recommend reading the full blog for more detail—what I’ve done here is summarise the main points. There are plenty of great reasons to become an SEO, especially with how fast the online space is growing. With thousands of new websites appearing daily, it’s definitely worth considering. Thanks a lot for watching, guys. Hope you enjoyed today’s video, and we’ll see you next time.
